Removals

This was the 2nd time our family have used Caseys and although not the cheapest the service provided was excellent. The men were effecient, friendly and polite, took necessary items apart then reassembled them at destination, they did a great job both ends!! Would definitely recommend them.

Recent move

It was such a pleasure dealing with Casey's from the initial request for a quotation to the actual move. Everybody was friendly and could not have been more helpful. The actual move was a dream - the team turned up on time - super efficient and cheerful. Although we packed ourselves, everything was moved with great speed, with

no damage to the property or the furniture and other contents. They also put together the big items we had to take apart (beds/table). Would recommend Casey's in the highest possible terms!

Greedy unprofessional management.

The actual removal team were very helpful & professional. But the management were the complete opposite. I was told the quote was to cover the van & men for the whole day, but then when 2 items couldn’t fit into the new property they wanted to charge me another 25% to return them to one of the previous addresses, even though the move had finished by 2pm, and the address was just 2 miles from their offices.
So in my opinion, they thought they could hold me to ransom on what is obviously an already stressful day. What should of been a happy day, was spoilt by the greedy management of the company, & their actions reduced me to tears.

Made the process as stress free as possible.

The guys were helpful and efficient. It was a big house with a 3 hour drive. We did it over two days to minimise our stress.

No charges for running past 5pm to get into the house. Nothing broken. They even helped me get into my shed when I realised I had already packed my keys.

They also had a good sense of humour. Vital on a stressful day.

Caseys Removals.

Of all the removal companies I have used over the years Casey's has been definitely the best.

What impressed me the most was the removal teams professionalism and help in doing the last minute packing literally on the day of the move. Also an extra person was provided for unloading. Unlike previous moves all my possessions arrived undamaged.

A nice touch is that a lot of Casey's vehicles have personalised number plates, so obviously the owners care a lot about the impression that their company gives.

Highly recommended use them and you won't be disappointed.

Appalling, unprofessional, rude and aggressive.

The most unprofessional, rude and feckless company imaginable. They took much longer than they expected, added costs in addition to the quote during the move, and then had head office aggressively suggest that their incompetence was our fault. This company should not be trusted to organise the proverbial in a brewery let alone professionally manage a move. I would avoid at all costs.

Casey's cancelled 24 hours before move date!

Initially we had a good experience with Casey's as they shifted around other removals to accommodate us. I paid a deposit and was sent a confirmation email only to get a call the day before we were due to move to cancel! Their explanation was that the confirmation email dates were only provisional yet there were NO INSTRUCTIONS on their email comms telling us we needed to call to confirm. We received no follow up from their team after paying the deposit which would have been logical. Clarity of communication needs to improve on something so critical! We got lucky and booked AnyVan with 24 hours notice who offered a full packing service at a much cheaper price.

Stress free moving.

I was moving from a one bed flat to a two bed house. From start to finish speaking with the office personal to the removal men on the day, everyone was always happy to help.

The property I moved too requires some work initially, so as requested they neatly stored my stuff in two particular rooms. They were efficient, polite and courteous throughout the whole day. Cannot rate them highly enough!

Quotation ,unable to contact owner.

If you don’t want unpleasant surprises with extra charging do avoid this company.
Terry Gardiner ,the owner,visited my house and gave me quotation promising that i’ll get smooth and stressless service.The quotation was significantly higher than other removal company provided to me but Terry reassured me that ,as he been in my house himself, that’s the final quote ,there is no any hidden costs ,etc.
Before booking and paying deposit I’ve checked the quote again on phone .
However after paying deposit I’d received email with £384.00 on top of the promised price.
So for moving a one bedroom flat from London to Southampton they decided to charge increadible amount of 2304.00£.
The most important,before booking with this company be aware that Terry doesn’t provide his telephone number or email address.
If something will go wrong the only people you can contact is Customer service who can’t resolve issue without Terry ,so you are going in circles.Still waiting for Terry to contact me without any success .
Absolutely awful service,enormous amount of stress ,shocking experience.

Removals.

We had a long distance removal which was complex as we had 2 properties to move. Casey's staff were excellent, helpful, hardworking and really knew how to move everything carefully. They wrapped up everything and brought spare boxes, cloth etc to protect items we had not wrapped properly! It was a long way (280 miles) and they arrived the next day in the morning and offloaded everything in a calm and organised manner. We had a lot of heavy items and they were able to provide 3/4 guys to take care of it all. I would recommend them to anyone who wanted a good reliable removals firm. No damage and nothing missing. Really good service and value for money.

Steer Clear - as they overcharge customers without notice

I was given a quote early September by their Terry Gardiner after his visit on the same day. A copy of their terms & conditions was also given to me at the same time. Nothing whatsoever was mentioned about their overtime charges or how long their standard working hours were. On the day of the move at the end of October, when I was still anxiously waiting for the key to my new property at 4:30 pm at the new address, I was called by Casey's office, advising me that they had started charging me overtime from 3 pm at GBP120 + VAT an hour. I protested saying I had never been warned in advance about such charges, and they could charge whatever they like, but it didn't mean that I would pay it. They had already had my credit card details and on the same day they slapped 4 hours overtime on top of what I had agreed to pay them. Their team left at 6:30 pm. I was told by their Terry Gardiner that their team would arrive between 8:30 and 9 am, but they in fact turned up shortly after 8 on the day of the move. I asked them why they had turned up early, and the response from them was - It's Friday and we would like to finish as soon as to go home.

I had to write and speak to them subsequently warning them that I would take my complaint to the Removals Ombudsman and the National Guild of Removers and Storers before they agreed to refund me HALF of the overtime charge they slapped on my credit card. Steer clear, as this is a cowboy company with no regard to their customers. All they care about is to milk as much out of their customers on one of their most stressful days of their life.

Easy and great value

Hadn't moved house for over 20 years so was a bit rusty on the best way. Spoke to Amy at Caseys and she was brilliant answered all my questions. Everything was planned and on the day they showed up on time and nothing was too much trouble for them. Compared to other quotes this was several hundred pounds cheaper so not only quality it was great value.

Friendly, amenable and flexible

At the time we were three weeks to go to the then-end of the stamp duty holiday, with a simultaneous exchange and completion and still some is to dot and ts to cross. Although I had had a quote from Casey's (from a very helpful, friendly and can-do rep) I had initially opted for a larger (and 10% more expensive) firm purely in the false belief that they would be better able to deal with last minute changes of plan that our particular house move seemed afflicted with, with their larger staff and fleet. This was emphatically not true - and Casey's were able to step in a week before we moved, guaranteeing my slot even despite some minor changing of completion dates. They had the house packed in record time, and were happy to wait whilst the simultaneous exchange and completion went through, which fortunately was sorted by 2.30 and we were fully moved in by 4.30, despite my hundreds of heavy books. They were also content to collect an additional item of furniture en route, for a very reasonable fee. Needless to say we were very grateful - would definitely recommend Casey's to anyone. They were the one silver lining in an otherwise very difficult process! Really rode to the rescue.

Trouble free and smooth move

I have used Casey’s twice and would highly recommend. The quote included packing and removal as well as incorporating an extra requirement to saw a sofa and a garden bench in half and dispose of them.

Most of the packing was done the day before completion and the rest on the move morning. Unloading was quick and the men swiftly assembled 4 beds enabling us to each have a good nights rest.

Great removals firm

I have used Caseys three times and every time they have been very professional, completely reliable and accurate with pricing. They outlined the process and kept in touch when moving house. They also efficiently take a part any furniture if need be and put it back together again at the new house. They also installed the washing machine. I would recommend them for a stress free move.

Caseys were recommended by a friend and I decided to use them as well and had a great team of chaps who were very helpful in my move fro Kent to Norfolk. The only criticism was the size of the extremely huge lorry they arrived in. I would definitely recommend this company for a hassle free move.
